I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.

The deadline for the Bianco Footwear sandal design is only two days away, and I'm kind of freaking out! I like my design, or at least I used to; but I've been staring at it for so long now - it all just looks like super-blah. I've really been wanting to show you my designs ever since I decided which one I was going for mid July, but I don't want to jinx it - so it will just have to wait until later. I can share some keywords, though! I'm getting my inspiration from Northern Norway and my design is quite r-a(t-io)nal. Stay tuned for updates!

There’s something about black.

There's just something about black. You can feel both hidden and empowered by it; I guess it depends on your mood. In a way, this my kind of off duty look. Some days, like today, I just want to hide away in a monochrome ensemble. Blend into myself, my mood, my own little world; even thought the sun is shining and everyone else is wearing floral dresses and flip-flops. I never liked flip-flops and all my summer dresses feel so overwhelmingly adolescent at the moment, I can't stand the thought of wearing them. So like Amy Winehouse once said: it's back to black.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.

I'm slightly overwhelmed by the fact that I almost lost my baby girl this weekend because she had an allergic reaction to something we can't quite figure out, but other than that, I'm good. I'm just trying to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. In all honesty: all I do these days is swing around in my hammock while reading The Hunger Games trilogy. Some days I don't even get out of my pajamas. Other days I dress something like this.

Hope you're enjoying your summer, or winter; depending on where you're reading this from!

If history has taught us anything; it is to be patient - and to be strong.

I decided to publish the pictures from my epic shoot with Sofie here as well. I'm so pleased with how it all turned out; proud even! Going from outfit posts to portraits of historical women is quite a leap. I struggled at times, but I had plenty of guidance from a fantastic team of women, who are all artists on their own.

This was our interpretation of Frida Kahlo, Audrey Hepburn, Queen Elisabeth I, Marie Curie, Susan B. Anthony, Jeanne D'arc, Marie Antoinette, Amelia Earheart, Virgin Mary and Cleaopatra

Let me know what you think; good or bad!
