If the average human life span was only forty years - how would you live your life differently?

Shorts - Whyred // Jacket - Gina Tricot // T-shirt - Zalando (gift) // Necklace - random bijoux // Earrings - Line & Jo // Shoes - GoJane

I would eat more candy. Wear less make-up. Spend more time outside. Wear shorts all year. Oh, no; wait - I do that now. Spend less money on clothes and more money traveling. Play in the snow. Learn Spanish. Take more pictures. Spend less time on the Internet. Forget the past. Welcome the future. And just cross of everything on my bucket list.

How about you?

  1. I don't know if I would live any differently! For me imagining living until I'm 40 or 60 or 80 doesn't really change anything because I can't realistically think about it anyways. But I would like to think that I would be more adventurous and waste less time on the internet ^__^

    1. That's very true. We can never really know anyways. I thought it was an interesting question, much because I often feel like I'm just wasting my time. Waiting. But I'm not sure what I'm waiting for.

I completely agree about the adventurous part. We should take more chances. In general. Perhaps.

  2. Oh wow. I am way, way, WAY past 40 so I guess I would have to rewind time and do things differently somehow? It's hard to imagine how much that would change everything but I remember wasting a lot of time drinking in my 20s. My first thought was it would have been nice to have a daughter. I wanted to back when I was 21 or 22 and then later I thought it could wait. It would have been nice to find the right person to share it with or better yet learn how to enjoy living in the moment and enjoy what I could. That's such a hard question. I've never traveled either. The look you are giving into the camera in the fourth and fifth camera is like you are looking through me. It's a good point about how we live our lives. I have to realise I won't be here forever, in body anyway.

    1. No, you shouldn't rewind anything! It's more of a reflection type of question. A reason to think about life for a minute or two. I have a lot of those.

I wasted my teens on alcohol and such. I'm still recovering from those years, and I guess I will be forever. That's what you get when you grow up in the middle of nowhere!

I can understand why having a child would be appealing, though. Someone to pass on the legacy. Personally, I'm not there yet - but I imagine I will be someday.

      Thank you for commenting :)

I've always been living pretty mindfully (I think it's because I've been an avid reader since I can remember), but sometimes I've been sorry I didn't do certain things. That's the point in life I think, no matter how long you live: you can feel sorry after you've done something, but I my opinion that's still better than feeling sorry nót having done something.
The things I would want to change are out of my reach anyway (like health).
Living till forty would mean I'd be halfway now, so maybe I would have a kid - sharing hapiness with people is what makes my day. And yes, spending less time on the internet and more time actually doing things, maybe I wouldn't even go to university ...

    1. I agree with you - it's better to regret something you've done, rather than something you didn't do. I think that's why I love traveling. Just exploring and feeling the different vibes of the different countries and places. Doing whatever I want, whenever I want. That freedom is priceless.

    1. It's not a literate question about your age, it's a question of how one can change ones life for the better. Whether you're 23, 45 or 67 ;)

    1. I think touring Europe sounds like a great idea. There are so many beautiful places out there, which we will never see. But we can try to see them all, can't we? ;)

      Thanks, sweetie!

    1. Hello fellow dreamer!

I can relate to that - feeling like my life is going to be short. I don't know what it is - just a hunch, kind of.

I just want to find my true dream, and follow it. Love, and be happy.

  10. Dear, I just saw your bucket list! And I have a lot of things to say.
You wanna speak spanish?! Why didn't you told me? I can help you on that!
And visit Chile is in your list, awww.
Write and publish a book, I want to do that too, it's like a big goal. A novel.
Get lost in Tokyo. Let's get lost together, I can help with "my very fluent, well not that fluent japanese" and my expertice in japanese culture.
Make Sushi. Go to youtube and scratch that from your list tomorrow. It's really simple, just put your heart and concentration on it.
Run a marathon. I'll be encouraging you, cause I refuse to run. I would only run in a zombie attack, chasing those sons of bitches.
Visit all 50 states in the US. I want to make a road trip. That's another huge dream of mine. My camera, my music, and the road. I just need to get mi license.
Design my own clothing line. But male clothing line. And in Japan, cause japanese man know how to dress. I love male clothes. And also design a jewelry line.

And! About your outfit. Lovely. I also wear my short on winter. I think I'm going to copy this look.

    Kisses B!

    1. Haha, yes, I really have a lot of things I want to see, say and do! Learning Spanish is one of those thing, but I think it scares me. I'm afraid I wont be able to do it very well :p I "tried" some beginners basics a couple of times, but it's really hard! Japanese is even scarier!

I'm kind of with you on the marathon thing! If the world turns into a Walking Dead season, I'm running for the hills - or a prison!

Haha, I'm always so in shock over how much we have in common ;) We could do a line together - you designing menswear and me designing womans wear :D

      Big hug to you, M!

    2. Well, maybe the pronunciation is a little bit scary, but is not THAT difficult. And if you learn spanish, you have portuguese pretty much covered.
The other day I had a dream, other would say a nightmare, for me was a dream. I dreamed that I was in a zombie apocalypse and I was killing zombies like a pro. And in cold blood, with a big sable, straight in the head.

I liked that idea! We could be like Rodarte. Only with clothes for boys and girls.

      Cariños B!

Lol, I too have dreams like that! :D
