When having my portrait painted I don't want justice, I want mercy.

Say hello to the friendly photographer; Sofie Eidsmo. She led me out on a frozen lake last week and made me stare into her camera obscura. Her goal for the day was to get a good portrait of yours truly; not just another picture of me. (There's enough of that out there already, isn't it?) I think she accomplished that quite well, actually - more than well. That's why I chose to share all these with you today. Sofie is a very artistic soul, studying at one of Oslo's creative schools, and was a part of the team that did the G-Star Raw series a while back. You should check out her new Facebook page, if you have a minute or two!

That said; a portrait is supposed to reflect the essence of a person. It's not a snapshot. Not an outfit picture. Some people even believe that if you take a person’s picture, you steal their soul. Or a piece of it. What do you think these pictures say about me?

And now for something completely different!

Dress - Freak Factory // Shoes - DinSko // Lipstick - Helena Rubenstein

"Flashing through the snow", was the lyrics to my very own version of Jingle Bells this evening, as I tried something completely different and out of my element. Flash? Seriously? At eight o'clock in the evening? On a Saturday? Butofcourse! I figured why not just give it a shot, no pun intended. It's not like I had to show you the pictures if they turned out extraordinarily worthless or ravishingly disgusting. I may have been inspired by the makers of this dress in my little creative process; which is Freak Factory. Oh, and the lipstick is called arouse, hence the awkward interpretation of "sexy look"; also known as "deer in headlights".

And just FYI; it's -13°C outside.

In the making

I'm honestly so honored to have been a part of this amazing project. Check out the video from the shoot and let me know what you think, yeah?

And a very merry Happy New Year, my friends!
