Riot
A linocut tribute to the Stonewall uprising of 1969 - the night trans women of color, drag queens, and queers said NO MORE to police brutality and systematic oppression. Stonewall was not the beginning, but it was a turning point - a riot that ignited a global movement.
This print honors that radical spirit and reminds us that pride was - and still is - a protest. It´s about visibility, resistance, joy, and survival. It´s about claiming space in a world that tries to erase us.
In honor of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera.
This one-of-a-kind A5 lino print, on 90g recycled and acis free paper, is hand pressed with love and rage on my kitchen table in Oslo, Norway. All pieces are unique, and each will therefore have slight variations. This print is signed.
