How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.

Sequin dress - Ganni via Emmshop (gifted) // Leathery jacket - Cubus // Shoes - GoJane

All dressed up on a Tuesday afternoon, and nowhere to go. OK, so I had stuff to do, people to see and events to attend, but you probably know me by now.. People kind of scare me, so I went home to a cozy fireplace and a cappuccino instead. For the next six months, I will most likely be hibernating - as usual. I only go out when it's really necessary - for instance when I need more bananas, vanilla yogurt or coffee. A few of my favorite things. Sometimes, I'll have the urge to buy fresh flowers as well, but those days are usually far apart. And maybe, just maybe, I'll go outside to take a few pictures, even though it's cold as hell. Oh, my optimism is suffocating.

  1. That dress is so fabulous and I loved how you paired it with the leather jacket, added some edgyness. :)

My husband and I are the same way. We are not too much of people persons either. Finally it's not getting not too hot to go enjoy the outdoors in Florida. I hated the cold weather so I feel your pain! Though I do miss the look of snow and the turning colors of leaves.

    1. Thank you, sweet Heidi! A leather jacket can do magic things to an outfit, for sure!

I'd much rather be able to travel somewhere cold and autumn-y, not live in it, and be cold half my life :p

as usual, I adore how you describe yourself and other trivial things and make it sound almost magical! <3

  3. I love this dress--I am such a fan of larger-than-usual sequins, and it looks great with the leather jacket. I don't know what type of art you are a fan of, but for some reason this outfit reminded me of Theresa Himmer's large-scale sequin installations: http://www.theresahimmer.com/2008/10/glacier.html

    1. Thank you so much, Rachel!

I too am drawn to sequins of size, and this dress is just perfect. I still can't get over how soft it is. A pleasant surprise, for sure.

Oh, I can see why it would remind you of that. Those are quite spectacular! Thank you for showing me!

  4. I hope your optimism doesn't suffocate too much. There's nothing wrong with staying in and enjoying a cappuccino instead of going out and mingling. I'd prefer to be cozy anyway.

Lovely sparkles on your dress and I like your hair this way!

    1. Haha, I hope so too! I just get really down this time a year, with winter coming and all.

I do tend to prefer home base in general, it's just who I am. Home is where my heart is.

      Thanks for commenting, dear! <3
