It takes a night to make it dawn

Having some real trouble adapting to all of the darkness of the season. Winter sucks. I'm tired all the time and really don't have any energy to do anything. Answering e-mails seems like the toughest thing to do right now, so I just have to apologize for not getting back to you. It's 3.30 PM and already getting dark outside. I need to go to the post-office, pharmacy and grocery store. I have invites lining up to amazing events, but I don't have the energy to go to any of them. I just want to cuddle up on the couch in knits and eat ice-cream all day long. So I'm going to do that.

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message..

Warm winter jackets and coats, my current obsession! This vintage one right here is from Shoppalu, which I introduced as a sponsor last month. It is in perfect condition, almost too good to be true and I'm so happy to have it on my closet. If there's one thing I need to be for the next couple of months - it's warm. Winter in Norway is not friendly, but thanks to Shoppalu, it will be a little more comfortable this year.

It was already getting dark when I went outside to take these pictures today, so I had to set the ISO really high - which gives you these grainy photos. Hope you like them anyways!

Tumbling towards ecstasy

Lately, people have been telling me they are intimidated by me, mostly because I look so serious in my pictures. I've said it over and over again, I'm trying to smile, but in the end I just pick the photos where my facial expression looks somewhat OK. That usually doesn't include the smiling ones. Today, however, I couldn't help it, I just love how these shorts turned out! Made by the same recipe as all the previous ones, but they turned out so over-sized because of my new giant circular needles - I couldn't wear them; so I decided to throw them in the washing-machine. And out came this! I'm calling them "tumbled knit shorts".

One kind word can warm three winter months

Every year, I love capturing the firsts. The first sign of spring, the moment I feel summer finally arrived, the first fallen leaf of autumn and now, the first frost. There's something about it that just makes my heart skip a beat. The true beauty of it all, the essence of nature and seasons changing.

It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy..

I almost feel like a northern amazon in this. I decided to just go for it; putting different colors, patterns and fabrics in layers and layers. Winter is approaching fast. Today, it's 0°C. A touch of white crystals embraced the the still green grass when I woke up this morning. It's gone now, but I know it will be back tomorrow.

Simply flowing between them.

I feel this is pretty androgynous. And quite flowing. I like it!

You know, my dear, it isn't safe for a little girl to walk through these woods alone.

Another coatfit, thrifted - just like the other one. Love the colors, the shape and the fit. I think it's quite similar to the Chloe patchwork cape - which I of course was lushing over the moment I saw it. However, the cape from Chloe cost $3.400, and this one cost $88. Love.

Dreaming of an indian summer sweet with lilac air

It's Saturday, but I seriously couldn't resist the urge to post this outfit! I just finished these knit shorts, and I'm so proud! I think they are absolutely amazing, and super comfortable - as I used more expensive and thicker yarn this time. Was going for a chunky look and added an elastic waistband to make them easier to wear. Oh, and I made the scarf as well. What do you think?
