Always have an answer - even if you change your mind five minutes later.

Wow, what a Q&A round! You guys asked so many great questions; an overload of which were anonymous, though - which I don't quite understand! Oh, well - I'm answering them in the chronological order in which they were asked, but I have to spread them over several posts; some individually and some collected - I think it's just too much to put in one post! Thanks for playing, sweethearts!
SomeKindOfStyle from http://some-kind-of-style.blogspot.com/ asked:
"If you could do or be anything in the world, what would you be (doing/job)? ( or are already! )"
It’s a great question! A hard one, but great. I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but my artistic soul tells me to follow my dreams and not worry too much about money - as long as I can put food on the table and pay the electricity bill. I’d rather do something I really love and barely make it, than do something I really hate just to spoil myself with some kind of materialistic bullshit every month. If I could choose anything in the whole wide world I'd be an artist. Just an artist.
AMINTA from http://amintasfashion.blogspot.com/ asked: "How do you manage to have everything on the same size at your blog roll?"
I just put the text alignment to "Justify Full", rather than "Align Left"

Soblushed from http://soblushed.wordpress.com/ asked: "So, you take your own photos with a tripod?"
Yes, I take my photos using a tripod and the timer on my camera.
"What is your job?"
I’m a freelancer, student and a blogger.

Patricia from http://leathershock.blogspot.com/ asked: "I want to ask you what are the small things in life that make your heart beat with joy?"
That’s a really good question. The little things in life that make my heart beat with joy is first and foremost the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning and how the air smells when one of our neighbors cuts their grass. The way the sun hit my toes when it finally reaches the corner of our house around 1.30 P.M, gives me chills and goosebumps all over my body. Raspberries. All kinds of berries, actually. The way my lover gently let her fingers glide from my neck and all the way down my back - just to wake me up one late morning. And spring will always make my heart smile.
ElyZa from http://elisazampieri.eu/ asked: "How old are you?"
I’m 24 years old.

"What did you study? And what are your project for the future?"
I was totally messed up throughout my teenage years, so I never finished high-school. I did take some art-classes, writing-courses and did a year of journalism; which is kind of what I want to do with my life from now on. I don’t want to make too big or specific plans, because I have a history of never finishing what I start – so that will have to be my best answer to your question right now.
Elegantesque from http://elegantesque.blogspot.com asked: "Why do you think that Scandinavia is so fashion forward and avant gardist in Fashion ? And how the heck do Scandinavian people to be so cool?"
Haha, first of: the Scandinavians you see are generally people with impeccable taste – the Scandinavians Scandinavians see are quite the opposite. Yes, we have been getting better in regards of style – but for the most part we're quite boring. The most stylish people in Scandinavia are probably the Swedes, and they are miles ahead of us Norwegians when it comes to personal style. The reason? I really don't know. Maybe it's because they have managed to break into the international market with brands such as ACNE or maybe it's because of their awesome fashion week? Both? Either way they have this amazing talent to just look good in anything, and they have mastered the art of being confident in their own skin.

One theory, in general, is the weather. We all all have to layer our clothes because it's cold most of the year, and because we have to layer - we learn that a lot of things go together, despite of ancient myths. Another theory is that we always want to be "the best", therefore it's kind of an ongoing competition - and where there's competition, there usually are some pretty mad skills. I think Scandinavians have been pretty cool all along, but since this blogging-phenomenon took of - you guys can actually see it from all the way across the globe!
Unspeakable Thoughts Unspoken from http://unspeakablethoughtsunspoken.blogspot.com/ asked: "Favourite perfume of all times:"
Amor Amor Perfume for Women by Cacharel. Top Note: Pink Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Black Currant. Middle Note: Lily-Of-The-Valley, Jasmine, Melati Blossom. Base Note: Ambregris, Vanilla, White Musk, Tonka Bean. Floral and fruity. Love.

"Favourite shop online to get clothes?"
My all time favorite is Ebay. You can find just about anything there, and if your low on cash and really want to spoil yourself with a little treat - this is the place to go. Necklaces for $0.88? OK. It's like a treasure hunt, and if you haven't read my short-story about Ebay - you should: "One girl, Ebay and that perfect dress". I shop at wonderful Pixie, fashionable Asos and lovely Solestruck as well.
"When are you coming to London so that we can meet?"
When are you coming to Oslo? Haha, no, sweetie – soon, I hope! I’ll have to give London another go; maybe with company this time, rather than taking on the whole city on my own. That was just scary!
"What foot size do you have?"
I’m a size EU 37-38 / US 6 ½ - 7 or a UK 4-5. I tend to buy all my shoes online, so I’m in complete control when it comes to those numbers!
"What part of your body do you like the most/less?"
I do love my hair. Other than that I’d say my hands, they're really soft. I don’t like my butt at all, it’s flat as a pancake - but I don't work out so it's my own fault. I really don't like my toes either, which is why I rarely wear peep-toe shoes.LinkJostien asked: "Have you read the poems of Sappho?"
First response: no. After checking: no. I’m into Greece as a county to visit whenever I want a sunburn or learn a moderate amount of touristy history; but being gay doesn’t mean I’m into all things related to being gay (trends, history or myths) - if that's what you're thinking. As a aspiring writer I must say that I’m more into modern poetry, or semi-old English and Norwegian literature.

"If yes, witch are your favorite one?"
I did some research, and from what I’ve read so far I really like Grace. It’s short and charming.
Anactoria is also quite interesting. This is at first glance, as I have little or no prior knowledge to Sappho other than the obvious.

June Paski from http://www.junepaski.com/ asked: "Do you take all your photos by yourself? If yes; how to do it?"
Yes, I do – unless otherwise stated, which generally means the times I act as a model for my photographer friends. I normally use series of 5 to 10 shots, the timer and a tripod. In order to get the proportions of my body correct, I normally place the camera at the approximate height of my hips. If I set it higher, I look short - and if I set it lower, my head looks tiny. I've been experimenting for a long time now, but I'm still developing and trying new things; the best way to learn is to try and fail! Oh, and I always use the manual settings. Always! Hope that answers your question.Quote by Richard E. Grant

  1. I love how much effort you put into making this post as beautiful and charming as it is informative! I feel like I got to know you a little bit better simply by reading your answers.

But oh, darling - how come you don't use a remotre control for your photos? They cost pretty much nothing and I surely couldn't take one single photo without mine!

  4. Re: Ummm... OF COURSE I read it all! What else would I be doing? Writing a column, you say, since it's supposed to be all done and sent in by tomorrow morning and it's already 00:42? Pfffft!

Actually, you might not need a remote. I mean, your photos obviously look awesome as it is, and come to think about it - the main reason I use a remote is because I always use a 50mm lense, with an extremely short depth of focus. If I didn't use a remote, I wouldn't get one single photo in focus.

Haha, btw - of course all gay people are super interested in every part of gay history and culture! It's really hard for me since I, well, play for both teams - I have to keep up with both the gay and straight history and culture. PLUS all the bisexual litterature and art. No wonder I always stay up way too late.

  6. As a new follower, I'm so glad you did a Q&A post so I could get to know you better.

I really admire the fact that you take all of your photos the way I do - with a tripod and timer! I hope, with practice, maybe mine can turn out as fantastically as yours :)

    Cheers!

  7. Loved reading through your answers! It's fun to know how you take your pictures, they always turn out so beautifully. I don't very often do outfit posts, but I'm planning to try to integrate that more into my blog in the future. I always prefer to take them by myself - I feel more comfortable, more me if that makes sense? - but I don't have a tripod which makes it extremely difficult! Most of the time I just don't want to bother, such a shame.
