Wednesday mess-up

Oh no, I wore ripped jeans! The voices in my head told me to?
Well, I think it's about time I share some information to why I usually do not wear jeans. First of all; I think they are tight and quite uncomfortable, as I prefer being able to breathe with my belly and eat more than one meal a day. Second; I don't like the colors they come in, except from the black ones, of course. Third: they make my butt look long! I prefer stockings, tights, leggings and such. Push-up, hold-in, squeeze-up. They are much more.. flexible, if I can say that?
That said, I still wanted to pair my shirt with these little, ripped blues today. Mostly because I wanted to see how it looked, and partially because of a somewhat lumberjack association I had last night. The Clothes Horse also inspired me a couple of weeks ago when she showed off her version of jeans.
On another note: I'm still not sure about these boots. I've worn them about.. three times? Brown frightens me, it seems. I don't know why! So, todays outfit, which is the third one in my little challenge, is truly a mess-up. And, I kind of love it!

April in Paris featured me on their blog today! And, with creative artwork, they made my outfits look much better. I also did an interview which had some interesting questions, like for example what's my favorite bad word!
I'm really excited, and if you would check it out: just click here :)

I'm wearing the Ellos shirt, Cubus ripped jeans, H&M gray tee underneath, H&M faux-fur hat and those brown lace-up boots from Benelli. The image is from the blog itself.

  1. i hate jeans too for the same reasons! i find them so uncomfortable and even worse i find shades of faded blue REALLY hard to match with anything... i have a lot of thin black stretchy pants, but i only own one pair of actual blue denim. you managed to pull them off though and look cute and casual here :)

i'm kind of fed up with jeans too. I only like them rarely and hate how they often come with weird 'whiskery' distressed colors near the crotch or a just always too tight somewhere and too loose somewhere else...i'd love to get a custom made pair someday but until then, i'm with you! Skirts & tights are sooo much more comfortable...but you look great in this outfit too! :)

  9. I love that plaid shirts can work with almost everything! It is a genious piece of clothing.
It is difficult to find great jeans, but if they first fits perfectly, they look good and often is comfortable.

  10. hahaha! i'm totally laughing out loud cuz i feel similar about jeans... and brown boots for that matter... but i think it looks great like a lumberjack. i love lumberjacks!

i think a good way to work brown boots into your look is a black and brown look... i think it would look awesome one you :)

  15. You look great in jeans! I never wear them either -- for exactly the reasons you state. It confounds me when people claim they are comfortable. Huh? Anyway, your hat is bliss. I love it.

  16. those boots I just love - if you ever wanna sell.....
As for jeans, well you are absolutely right - one piece of uncomfy clothing;)

  17. I like the boots very much. I share your lack of fondness for brown, but this style of boots is very "earthy" anf brown works for them. with the kind of rugged western look black would not have been as effective. I especially like the high heels, just because they are lacy ups is not reason to have them flat. Very pretty boots!

  18. You look wonderful in those jeans - I don't have the impression that they make your butt strange ;-)
I love jeans, but normally I don't wear tight ones - I want to breathe and to eat as well!

  21. I have a problem with brown too. I try to wear it, bu I can't. Anyway, I love that boots.
I wear a lot of jeans, althought is very difficult to find the right ones, I finish doing some arrengements. And my mom loved that hat, she is crazy about that kind of hats.
Onthe other hand, I REALLY enjoyed your interview. "Do not wear what others have worn before you; but what others would want to wear after seeing it on you", that killed me, is the perfect word! Can that word be my "morning" word?
The work that she made with your pictures is amazing, and she picked the best ones.
What can I say, Now I know more about you, that's great.

    Kisses Barbro!

  22. Love the hat! I find jeans so uncomfortable as well. I don't "get" why everyone seems to love them...

  23. I really hate wearing jeans. They just never fit me properly, you know? And I hate how they gradually slide lower and lower when I sit down and stand up. I'm a skirts/tights kind of girl. :)

But every now and then, I see a cute outfit like this that tempts me to give jeans another try. I probably won't, but still. You look great! :)

  26. Du gjør en god jobb med å mikse den skjorta inn i nye antrekk :) Kjempestilig med den dongeribuksa! Og de støvlettene var kjempefine, sånne skulle jeg gjerne hatt selv :)

  28. i hate jeans due to the tropical weather and my strange legs. and i agree completely that it's difficult to find a great wash. my favourite is the paint-splattered black ones or those black ones with faded grey.

you, on the other hand look amazing.
